The consumer electronics market continues to rapidly grow its reliance on M2M connectivity, especially since the launch of the Apple iPad and iPad 2.  The iPad uses 3G connectivity with the latest Micro iPAD SIM (also known as a 3FF SIM), which is smaller than a normal GSM mobile phone SIM.   The Micro SIM offers more storage space on-chip for provider applications, increased control and security functions.

Other common consumer products such as 4G modems and dongles for mobile internet access, e-readers, fitness monitoring devices and GPS tracking devices all rely on M2M applications which require a reliable 3G connection. M2M Roaming SIMS provide cards that are designed for roaming devices and for applications targeted at the consumer market on a global scale.
